What is your legacy? What are you leaving behind for others? (or what do you hope you are leaving behind for others) Another way to think of this question: how do you want to be remembered by future students? Or do they want to remembered at all? If not, why not?
In my opinion wanting to be remembered is selfish and setting out to be is too, but being remembered and having a legacy is completely different. Again in my opinion a legacy is what is left after you're gone but a memory or being remembered fades over time. Us as seniors haven't lived long enough to have a legacy, it is a selfless act that inevitably helps someone else. You don't do it for attention. Just like at a soldier's funeral the flag that is handed to the widow is a symbol of their legacy. I don't really want a legacy unless I've done something worthy like if I died tomorrow for saving someone else's life, just like the teachers in Newtown, dying to save their kids' lives, that is a legacy that will live on.

prompt #10
1. "I choose you" by Timeflies - I love pretty much all their songs but this ones lyrics are very intimate to listen to and the beat is soooooo catchy, this song reminds me of my swim girls we all ran around the pool on our senior night and "danced" to it, it is a memory i will cherish forever.
2. "Working Man" by Imagine Dragons - I love this because its an Interesting mix between the positive mood of the song and beats and the sad at the same time, it is a wonderful mix. I love the hidden meaning which is, when you work so hard there is always a catch and something most always will go wrong, but you have to keep going.
3. "Stars" by Youngblood Hawke - This song literally speaks to me, there's a specific part in the lyrics that makes it so personable and maybe one of the biggest reasons I love this song "we're all fighting to make something for ourselves" it reminds me that everyone is just trying to do what i am, trying to achieve their hopes and their dreams.
4. "Heartbeats" by Royal Teeth. - I'm not sure why i like this song, but its about a brief but passionate relationship, but the guys feelings and intentions changed. The song is sung by the heartbroken girl who made a realization that while she was in love he ultimately ended up using her. It is hauntingly beautiful.
5. "Higher Ground" by TNGHT, I'm not usually into trap music but i have to say i really like this, we used it during swim for our pump up CD and every time it played everyone went nuts including people who weren't from our team. The bass is Phenomenal and it really does pump you up. I recommend this to EVERYONE to listen to.

If you could create a movie of your life, who would you cast and what would the story be? In addition to answering the question on your blog for your life, I want you to comment on mine with who you think I should cast and why.
If there was ever a movie about my life i would not want anyone to "play" me. My movie would just be made up of a lot of home movies. That way it would be real, and i would have my family sitting down and talking about be, and then having a clip of me doing something while they're talking.

Prompt #8
This quote means a lot to me. I found it a long time ago when i my team and i were running before practice. We ran through a cemetery and my shoe lace came untied right in front of a head stone that had this quote on it. I think i was suppose to find it, and that's why my shoe just happened to come untied right then. To me this quote means that Life isn't about the things we do, or how long we live, but its about those moments that make us happy, smile, and laugh; memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. That it's about what you do in our life that makes you happy regardless of it's "importance". You can go your whole life living as someone who is idolized or some one who idolized some one else. To me if you have never seen or experienced something that matters to you, that more or less "takes your breath away", then I suppose it is up to you to decide if you have really lived or not.

Prompt 7
If you could meet anyone past or present, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone past or present I would like to meet
my great grandmother, Hazel Ruth Morris or (GG). She was a wonderful woman from
what I'm told, strong willed and hard headed and I guess I'm just like her, she
died from a massive heart attack exactly two months before I turned two, she died January 26 1997, I turned
two on march 26. She was getting ready to brush her teeth, tooth brush in hand when it happened.
When she was twenty four she adopted my grandfather (her brother) and their other siblings, not only that she also had a daughter of her own. She adopted her siblings because their father had died from committing suicide, and the death of their mother who died from tuberculosis.
She was a full blooded Cherokee Indian although it can never be proven. She tried her hardest to prove that she was on paper, and even hired a private investigator but the trail always ended because our family was some of the Indians that ran and hid in the hills of Tennessee and burned their documents during the trail of tears trying to escape from the government and to be put on a reservation.

One of the things I would ask her was how she took the burns
out of a sun burn. My mom told me that when she would get a sun burn my GG
would rub her hands together and then rub the sunburn and some how it took the burn out. When she was
all done it would be transferred into her hands;; they would be beat red and would sit with her hands
under cold water, my mom said she told her that her grandmother taught her how to do it.

prompt #6
what makes you proud?
I'm proud of my mom. She had to raise me as a single parent for most of my childhood, and had to play both the mother and the father all the time, as well as my friend and play mate. She taught me to never lose hope and to always fight for what I want, because nothing in this world is going to come easy. I never once heard her complain of how hard it was for her to raise me by herself, never heard her regret a thing and she always made me feel as though the sun set and rose upon me no matter how hard it was for her.

Prompt #5
What motivates you?
Life itself. there is just so much out there to actually experience, but my desire to follow knowledge. To find things out from the past. To be a happy, fulfilled person. Making other people happy, too. Self-competition keep me going even when times get tough. Knowing that at the end of the day, you feel accomplished. No one can feel that, but yourself. It's good to feel good about yourself. Well my mom always told me that when you're down and out or overcoming a hard obstacle just remember that nothing lasts forever and that soon it'll all be over. So I just think about what it's going to be like when it's over
