What does the following quote mean to you? "You
don’t get to pick where you’re from, but you always have control of where
you’re going."
You don’t get to pick your parents; you don’t get to choose
how they love you or pick where or how you live. But you do have the power to
make something of yourself. To me this quote means that you could come from nothing
and one day be the head of a corporation or president of the United States. To
me everyone has the same equal opportunities but not everyone takes them. I
really like this quote and to me holds a lot of meaning. Just because something
has happened to you doesn’t mean you have to dwell over it, you can overcome
all the adversity or stereo types and be
what or who you want to be.
